Positive Reinforcement Only

We do not use force, fear, shock, prong collars, intimidation, or punishment in our training methods. Instead, we believe in the power of positive reinforcement, where behavior that is rewarded tends to increase — and as a result, dogs learn faster and more effectively. Our approach, which we call Science-Based Learning, is built on a foundation of proven, ethical behavioral science that is firmly rooted in the principles of classical and operant conditioning. By employing these techniques, we create an environment where dogs feel secure and motivated to learn, leading to more lasting and meaningful behavioral changes.

Imagine how your life could be with a happy, well-trained dog

At Naples Dog Academy, we believe that great behavior begins with kindness, clarity, and trust. Our Positive Approach Dog Training method is 100% force-free and rooted in science-based, reward-driven learning theories. We never use shock, prong, intimidation, or fear. Instead, we teach your dog through encouragement, motivation, and clear communication—because a behavior rewarded will always increase.

With over 25 years of experience, we help dogs and their families build stronger relationships, boost confidence, and enjoy faster, happier learning. Whether you’re raising a puppy, working through behavior issues, or building advanced obedience, our positive reinforcement training creates lasting results at home and in the real world.

Give your dog the supportive, humane training they deserve—and discover how rewarding a positive approach can be.

Yes. In‑home training is one of our most effective services because dogs learn best in their natural environment. It also allows us to coach the entire family for consistent results.

Absolutely. Virtual coaching is ideal for:

    • New puppy parents
    • Behavior troubleshooting
    • Follow‑up sessions
    • Families outside the Naples area
    • Feline Behavior

It’s flexible, effective, and surprisingly powerful.

Every dog is different. After your initial consultation, we’ll recommend a personalized plan based on:

With 30+ years of experience in behavior modification, we help dogs work through fear, anxiety, and reactivity using gentle, proven techniques.  If necessary, we can put in a referral to the Behaviorist Vet Dr. Radosta and we will work together as a team to conquer complex cases.
